This is going to be very disappointing, but I am so out of touch with popular culture I couldn't even tell you the name of an artist that released an album this year. I couldn't even really name any albums that have come out by any artist. I don't think I consume music normally...

If I had to pick my favorite album, it's probably They Might Be Giant's 1994 album "John Henry". TMBG is the only band I know and even then I have to look up album names by what songs are on there.
